DayReflect is designed with privacy as a core principle.

DATA COLLECTION

DayReflect collects no personal data. The extension tracks which websites you visit and how long you spend on them, but this information is stored exclusively on your own device using Chrome's built-in local storage API.

DATA STORAGE

All data remains on your device at all times. Nothing is transmitted to any external server, database, or third party. DayReflect has no backend, no database, and no servers.

DATA RETENTION

Tracking data is automatically deleted after 180 days. You can also manually clear your data at any time from the extension's settings page.

THIRD PARTY SERVICES

DayReflect uses the Pexels API solely to fetch a daily background photograph for the new tab page. This request contains no personal information and no tracking identifiers. No browsing history, site data, or usage statistics are included in this request.

PERMISSIONS

DayReflect requests the following browser permissions:

• Tabs — to read the current website URL for time tracking
• Storage — to save tracking data locally on your device
• Alarms — to periodically save session data and check Pomodoro timers
• Notifications — to send Pomodoro and daily reminder alerts
• Idle — to pause tracking when you step away from your computer

ANALYTICS

DayReflect uses no analytics tools, tracking pixels, or advertising services of any kind.

DATA DELETION

Uninstalling DayReflect permanently and immediately deletes all stored data from your device.
